What is the reason behind Nepal-China border flood?
The catastrophe began Wednesday after a section of a Himalayan glacier collapsed. The collapse sent ice, rock and mud into the Lhende Khola River, triggering a powerful flash flood across the border region.
The floods destroyed villages, roads, bridges and power infrastructure across parts of Nepal and Tibet. Rescue teams have faced major challenges because damaged roads and heavy debris have isolated several communities.
