Argentine singer Nicki Nicole set social media abuzz on Saturday after sharing a series of Instagram Stories that appeared to hint at the presence of her boyfriend, FC Barcelona star Lamine Yamal.
In one of her Stories, Nicole posted a picture of her dog alongside a caption written in Spanish: “Lajoaqui no sabía que había súper estrellas presentes en tu cumpleaños”, which translates to
“Lajoaqui didn’t know there were superstars present at your birthday party.”
Fans might have gotten confused that the “superstar” she was referring to might be Yamal, who has been romantically linked to the singer since the summer of 2025. However, in a follow-up Story, Nicole added another heartfelt message for her friend La joaqui, writing: “Feliz cumpleaños mi reina, te adoro y te deseo que seas siempre feliz! Glajoaqui,” or
“Happy birthday, my queen. I adore you and wish you always happiness! La joaqui.”
If there was indeed a speculation, it must’ve been short-lived. As if we dissect the post, it becomes clear that Yamal could not have attended the party, as he was preparing for El Clásico — the biggest match in La Liga — just hours later. The highly anticipated clash between Real Madrid and Barcelona takes place on October 26 at the Santiago Bernabéu, with Madrid currently two points ahead in the standings.
Barcelona’s official X (formerly Twitter) account confirmed Yamal’s presence with a pre-match post captioned,
“Only one goal: El Clásico,” showing the 18-year-old phenom focused and ready for the showdown.
