Lamine Yamal and Neymar have been spotted together in Brazil . Yamal recently traveled to Brazil in third week of June, 2025 for vacation. He is currently enjoying his summer break after a long season with FC Barcelona. There, he met Neymar, his childhood idol and former Barcelona star.
Neymar shared a video on Instagram of Yamal playing footvolley on a beach court. Yamal later reposted the video, confirming they were spending time together. The clip quickly became popular among fans online.

Neymar later shared an Instagram post in which he compiled the activities from his day, featuring Lamine Yamal.
Yamal has often said Neymar was his inspiration growing up. He liked Neymar’s playing style and even copied his hairstyles. Many fans see similarities in how both players move and dribble on the pitch.
The two had met earlier at the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai. Now, their meeting in Brazil feels more personal. They are relaxing together, playing footvolley and sharing experiences, away from football stadiums and busy schedules.

Neymar is currently playing for Santos FC in Brazil, but his contract ends on June 30. His father recently said they are talking to European clubs, some of which are in the Champions League. Neymar could return to Europe this summer, though nothing is confirmed yet.
“I see a market that’s interested (in Neymar). This week, we’re going Miami to talk to clubs, and we have to listen to them and decide what we’re going to do,” Neymar’s father said, via Barca Blaugranes. “Yes. There are European clubs, and some are competing in Champions League.”
Yamal, meanwhile, will return to Barcelona in mid-July. He turns 18 on July 13 and will begin preseason under new coach Hansi Flick. He has big goals for the new season. He wants to help Barcelona win the Champions League.

In a recent documentary ‘Inside Barca‘, Lamine Yamal said he expects more from himself each year. He believes his physical growth will help him improve.
“Because of my age, I will improve every year. (It’s) because my body will grow and the difference with other opponents will be more noticeable. I will be more comfortable on pitch.” Yamal said.
Yamal also said the team will fight hard to win titles.
“Helping (win) against Real Madrid is always something very special, something you dream about since you’re a kid. The team is very competitive and we’ve proven that.
“In Clasico, you have extra motivation, and we left the Whites without touching the ball for 25 minutes in our own half. At Camp Nou, it is going to be more easier for people to come and enjoy.”
During the Nations League, Yamal made headlines with his confidence. He scored two goals against France and helped Spain win 5–4. He also made bold comments before the game, which drew attention.
Yamal is still young, but he already plays with maturity, something noticed by former Barcelona striker Luis Suarez. His love for football shows on and off the field. Meeting Neymar on the beach is a special moment for him. It shows how far he has come.
