Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma attended the NBA Abu Dhabi Games on October 4, 2024. He watched the Boston Celtics play against the Denver Nuggets. The official NBA account on X shared a picture of Rohit. They wrote,

The 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup was recently held, with India winning their second title. The tournament was co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States. It featured 20 teams, including the two hosts.

In the final, India played against South Africa. Despite losing early wickets, India scored 176 runs. Virat Kohli scored 76 runs, helping India win. South Africa ended their innings with 169 runs, giving India a victory by 7 runs. Rohit’s attendance at the NBA game shows his support for basketball along with cricket.

Rohit Sharma is on a break after winning a Test series against Bangladesh. He is in Abu Dhabi with his wife, Ritika Sajdeh. At the event, Rohit met Iker Casillas, a famous Spanish goalkeeper. They took a photo together, which fans loved. Casillas is known as one of the best goalkeepers ever. He led Spain to victory in the 2008 UEFA Euros and the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Rohit is relaxing after India won a Test series against Bangladesh by 2-0. India won both matches in Chennai and Kanpur. In the second Test at Green Park in Kanpur, India played well despite rain delays.

India finished the match in 173.2 overs. They first bowled out Bangladesh for 233 runs. India then scored 285 runs for 9 wickets in just 34.4 overs, leading by 52 runs. Rohit hit two sixes on his first two balls, setting the tone for the innings. India set records for the fastest 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 runs in Test cricket during this match.

In the second innings, India dismissed Bangladesh for 146 runs and chased down the target of 95 runs in just 17.2 overs, winning by seven wickets. After this win, India will play against New Zealand in a three-match Test series starting on October 16.
