Manchester United lost 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur. James Maddison scored the only goal, leaving United in 15th place.

Talking aobut the loss to Tottenham, Manager Rúben Amorim talked aobut the difference.

“In the end, they score, we didn’t,” Amorim said, (via Sky Sports.) “That was the big difference in the game. We had a lot of chances but in the end they scored one and we didn’t.

Amorim admitted the difficulties but stayed confident.

“I’m just focused on helping my players. I understand my situation and my job so I never worry about that. I’m really confident in my work and I just want to win games. The place in the table is my worry, I’m not worried about me.” Amorim mentioned.

United missed key players like Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, and Amad Diallo. Amorim refused to make excuses.

“At the beginning of this week, we tried to train but day by day we were losing players. I don’t want to use that as an excuse because a lot of teams are suffering like that. Sometimes you have to face up to the challenge.” Amorim said.

United has only two wins in their last nine league games. Amorim remains focused.

“We just need to face it and not run away, that is my feeling. Today will hurt, it is a tough pain to lose so many games, but then you can change things in a week.”

United will try to improve in their next games against Everton and Ipswich.
