Germany began their Nations League campaign with a 5-0 win over Hungary in Düsseldorf. Niclas Fullkrug scored first after a pass from Jamal Musiala. Musiala added a second, breaking from a Hungary corner to score one-on-one.
Florian Wirtz, who assisted Musiala, scored the third from 16 yards. Aleksandar Pavlovic made it 4-0 with his first goal for Germany. Kai Havertz finished the scoring with a penalty after hitting the crossbar twice earlier.
Germany controlled the game with 23 shots to Hungary’s 6 and 56.5% possession. This win gives GER a strong start under coach Julian Nagelsmann.
Germany’s Jamal Musiala was the MVP of the Game
GER easily beat Hungary 5-0 in their Nations League opener. Jamal Musiala scored one goal and provided three assists. Niclas Füllkrug opened the scoring in the 27th minute after Musiala set him up. Musiala then scored in the 57th minute with a solo run.
Nine minutes later, he assisted Florian Wirtz, who added a third goal. Aleksandar Pavlovic made it 4-0 in the 77th minute, again assisted by Musiala. Kai Havertz scored the final goal from a penalty four minutes later. Hungary struggled to contain Germany’s fast attacks. Musiala and Wirtz were key to GER’s comfortable win.
