Cristiano Ronaldo may soon add a Hollywood role to his long list of achievements. According to an Instagram post by Zimceleb Official, the Portuguese star is set to act in the final Fast & Furious movie. Vin Diesel has confirmed that a role has been written especially for Ronaldo. The film is planned for release in 2027.

“Fast & Furious writer, actor, and director Vin Diesel revealed that the Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo may soon hit the big screen. The actor confirmed that a role has been specially written for Ronaldo in the final installment of the Fast & Furious saga.” Zimceleb wrote in their Instagram post.

Details about Ronaldo’s role remain private for now. Still, the news has sparked major interest among fans of football and film. This will be Ronaldo’s first acting role outside documentaries. Until now, his acting work has been limited and mostly linked to his football life.

At 40, Ronaldo remains active at the top level of the game. He has scored more than 950 career goals for club and country. He is also expected to captain Portugal at the 2026 World Cup. That tournament is likely to be his final appearance on the world’s biggest football stage.

Reports about Cristiano Ronaldo’s potential retirement

Ronaldo has already confirmed his plans about retirement. In a November interview with CNN, Ronaldo said the 2026 World Cup will be his last major tournament. He added that he expects to retire within one or two years after that.

“I’m really enjoying the moment right now,” Ronaldo said. “As you know, in football, when you reach some age, you count the months very quick. I feel very good in this moment. I score goals, I still feel quick and sharp. I’m enjoying my game in the national team. But of course, let’s be honest. What I mean by soon is probably one or two years.”

The forward said he feels proud of his journey and wants to enjoy his final moments in football.

“Definitely, yes. I will be 41 years old and I think [this] will be the moment in the big competition,” Ronaldo said. “I gave everything for football. I’ve been in the game for the last 25 years. I did everything, I have many records in the different scenarios in the clubs and also in the national teams. I’m really proud. So let’s enjoy the moment, live the moment.”

Portugal are close to qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. They sit top of their group with strong results so far. Ronaldo is aiming to win the one major trophy missing from his career. The World Cup remains his final big target.

Despite his age, Ronaldo continues to perform well at club level. He extended his contract with Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr until June 2027. The deal means he plans to keep playing until at least 42. He has said he still feels sharp and enjoys scoring goals.

The possible move into acting fits with Ronaldo’s future plans beyond football. By the time the Fast & Furious movie is released, he may already be retired. The project could mark the start of a new chapter in his public life.
