Fans react to Shah Ruk Khan's alleged clip, pushing a man at Locarno Film Festival

Shah Rukh Khan was recently at the 77th Locarno Film Festival. There he received the Pardo alla Carriera (Career Leopard) lifetime achievement award. However, his big moment was overshadowed by a viral video that sparked controversy on social media.

In the video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by an unverified account, Shah Rukh is seen on the red carpet at the festival. As he posed for solo pictures, he appeared to push a man standing nearby, possibly to keep him out of the frame. This action quickly drew mixed reactions from fans and users on X.

Some fans defended Shah Rukh, suggesting it might have been a misunderstanding. However, others criticized the gesture, calling it arrogant and inappropriate.

“Indeed, it was not a playful behaviour but SRK’s arrogance! What if the old man did the same with srk?” one fan said.

“Thats one of his old friends 😂😂. Now try spreading negativity lol” another fan said.

“I don’t judge any scenario on behalf of short clips. In most cases, short clips are part of a conspiracy” one fan opined.

The incident has sparked debate, with opinions divided on whether Shah Rukh Khan’s behavior was justified or out of line. Here are some more reactions:

“Srk is not a gudhearted man everyone knows tat his fans are just use and throw for him he has not even done even one thing for his fans” one fan said.

“There is a good possibility that Shah Rukh is older than the ‘old man'” another fan said.

“He was just kidding don’t manipulate the people” one fan defended.

Later Indian Express Entertainment verified the video and found it to be a prank on his old friend.

“A video of #ShahRukhKhan pushing an old man on the red carpet of Locarno Film Festival has been going viral.” IEE said.


Shah Rukh Khan at the 77th Locarno Film Festival in ‘black tuxedo’

Shah Rukh Khan received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 77th Locarno Film Festival. He wore a black tuxedo and charmed the audience with a warm and witty speech. Shah Rukh compared Locarno to India and thanked the audience for their warm welcome.

“Thank you all for welcoming me with such wide arms… wider than the ones I do on screen. It’s a very beautiful, very cultural, very artistic, and extremely hot city of Locarno. So many people stuffed up in a little square and so hot. It’s just like being home in India,” Khan said (via Indian Express)

He reflected on the importance of art, saying it comes from the heart and transcends boundaries. Shah Rukh also humorously talked about his improving Italian and cooking skills. He concluded by summarizing his diverse film roles and expressing gratitude in Hindi.

“I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart and from India. Namashkaar and dhanyawaad (Hello, thank you). God bless you all.” Khan concluded.

The festival also screened Shah Rukh Khan’s film Devdas as a tribute to his career.
